Hello Bluebird Parade

For this week's card, I pulled an older stamp set from my shelves to create this fun parade scene card.  I started by adding a blue frame to the outside of the A2 card base by using 2 stacking stitched rectangle dies.  The star of the show is really the Hello Bluebird Party Parade stamp set, which features such cute animals working together to put on a parade for the recipient of your card.  My favorite is the duck waddling along behind the alligator, like he is saying 'I have short legs!'

I glued some of the party animals directly to the card and used foam tape on others to give the card more depth and make the animals look more like they are marching along to the beat of the elephant drum.

I finished off the card with some enamel dots from my stash.  I love that they are floating above the parade like little party bubbles.

Have a (marching) good day.

You're Dog-Gone Amazing!

Oh hi there!  Let's just say that the end of 2022 was full of crazy.  After recovering from said crazy, we had a wonderful Christmas that was full of family, food, and lots of traditions.  I am now looking forward to a fantastic 2023, and am so excited to start creating again!

I am kicking off my 2023 cards with a Valentine's Day card for my niece.  The puppies from the Taylored Expressions Puppy Love stamp set were so cute that I had to get to stamping and coloring them first thing when they arrived.

After coloring the images with Copic markers, I used the Splatter Background stamp to add some Oreo ink splatter to Sugar Cube cardstock.  I layered the splattered cardstock on an Oreo cardstock Petite Scallop Rectangle die cut.  I finished the card with a Heart Stacklet die cut and some enamel dots from my stash.

My personalized Handmade With Love by Aunt Kayla stamp is the perfect finishing touch for any card for my niblings (nieces and nephews)!

As I was typing this post, I said to my husband that there should be a word for 'nieces and nephews.'  So of course, I Googled it and found that there is a term floating around - nibling.  I love it!  I will use it from now on when referring to that group of loved ones.

Have a (lovingly) good day!
